Capturing those real moments when my clients forget about the camera and focus on the love between themselves and her child or the love between a husband and his wife, those moments are my favorite moments to photograph. This family had lots of tenderness & silliness to capture! These are the moments that solidify why I love my job so much. Even though it was super cold outside, these kiddos were SUCH troopers during our VERY chilly photo session. I couldn't believe how good they were, even I was shivering but they really did a great job. And aren't they both just so handsome?

Remember {this} gorgeous Momma to be?

Well, she had her beautiful baby girl Tenley! Elle came with me to Kelly & Eddie's house for a play date with Tenley. She mostly just sat in a bumbo chair the whole time, she can't quite "assist" me during photo jobs just yet..... I had SUCH a great session with these new parents. You wouldn't know they were "new" parents because they aren't the typical nervous, paranoid parents (like Dustin & I were with our first!) Ed even knew how to shush Elle and bounce her just right when she got fussy. You should never doubt a daddy's instinct, even first time dads. They know some stuff! Maybe I'm just a big baby, or maybe it's the hormones, but I had a hard time keeping it together during our session. Seeing these two with their new baby, how natural they were and SO in love, it was overwhelmingly sweet. Congrats, you two on your beautiful baby girl.

I always enjoy my sessions with the Phillips family. I took their Christmas photos last year and also shot Erin's maternity session! (Our little ones are only a few weeks apart!) Jackson & Cooper are always hilarious-and Lincoln was absolutely edible.

This gorgeous couple was such a pleasure to photograph {It's always easier to be natural in front of the camera when you've been friends with the photographer since the 7th grade!} I love these two and am so happy that God brought them together. Their love was so evident. At times, I felt like I was intruding on the moments between the two of them...like in some strange, but really beautiful way, I wasn't "supposed" to be watching their raw, silly, & sweet love. Thank you both for allowing me to be your photographer. I know that God has an amazing journey ahead of you!

Omar & Allie visited the Gilcrese orchards with us this weekend. I brought my camera & he brought his. It was such a blessing to have him photograph our family, and it was a blessing for US to spend time with this incredible couple who we love LOVE love! {Aren't they beautiful?} Their marriage is so rich, their relationship is playful-but yet so mature. You can sense a level of tenderness & strength between the two of them like they've been married for a hundred years. I know that the fingerprint of God is upon their love story-their marriage. They're in the process of becoming foster parents. How exciting right?!

Birth Of {Cole Joshua}

I can't wait for you to hear Cole's birth story from his Mamma's perspective. In the meantime, I wanted to share a few of the photos from his birth. Carrington and her husband Philipp were such an awesome team. Watching them peacefully & lovingly bring their baby into the world was one of the neatest and most humbling experiences of my life! They both were totally focused, but still had sweet moments of laughter and were so tender towards each other. I loved how calm & confident Philip was in his wife. He was reading to her when she had breaks from rushes, giving her sips of juice, rubbing her back, cheering her on & whispering prayers into her ear. It was incredibly sweet to witness.
The midwife & two other birth attendants never left her side. There was always someone rubbing her back and encouraging her through the pain of the contractions. After the birth, Carrington got to enjoy her new baby boy for a long while before anyone disturbed her or made any requests of her. The birth attendants were throwing in a load of laundry, warming up towels, making her some food to eat and preparing her bed so her little family could snuggle up and relax. Their home felt completely calm and peaceful aside from every one's excitement. Everyone was there to serve her and love her any way they could. It was pretty amazing. As I drove home at the end of the night, my heart was so high on love after seeing how God had orchestrated this beautiful birth. I couldn't sleep and once I finally did, I kept replaying Carrington's birth over and over in my dreams. Hope you enjoy these photos.

Lindsay & Josh welcomed their sweet baby girl Bailey into the world two days after our maternity session together! Great timing huh?! It was such a fun afternoon with them. I got to see the sincere love & silliness between these two. Josh had both Lindsay & I cracking up. At one point, I told him to stop because I was laughing so hard I knew I'd pee myself and cause a really embarrassing situation for all of us! He almost had me! He was a good sport, hanging out with both of us pregnant ladies!

This session was so much fun. I absolutely loved how playful, happy and sweet baby boy Cayden was.

I couldn't help but marvel at Amanda's beauty (what a stylish, cute little mom she is!)

and also at what a sweet Dad Chad is to his little boy.

(Chad & I went to middle school and high school together and It's really

neat to see people I grew up with as grown ups now.)

I know it's a good sign when I can't stop smiling while editing.

Remember this super adorable couple?

They got married and I was there to capture their big day!

Whitney's dress looked like something Jackie Kennedy would wear. It was so classy and chic.

My favorite part of the dress were the pockets! She purchased special bows and broaches for the tops of her shoes.

This brides attention to detail and her creativity were truly impressive. She looked SO beautiful and relaxed on her wedding day.

(I wish I could have been as cool and collected as Whitney was.)

Her expression after her Mom & Sister button up her dress kills me.

That smile is priceless.

I love the traditions in catholic weddings.

I also love the look of respect and reverence in these sweet grandparents faces.

The cake, the old fashion photo booth, the bouquets made of spray painted, plastic water bottle flowers.

EVERYTHING was perfect.

The Beer family will welcome their second child, a boy, Mr. Landon in 3 weeks. I was excited to capture their love and joy in this super-easy going photo session with the three of them. Avery is going to be the best big sister, and isn't Sofia the most stunning pregnant lady! After our session, Troy wanted to take me to his favorite Mexican food restaurant down town. He was right, it IS the best Mexican food in Las Vegas! Thanks guys, for allowing me to document this exciting time in your lives as your beautiful family grows! He will be one very lucky little boy!

Let me introduce you to Ryder. He is squishy, smells oh-so sweet and has some really amazing parents, Tyler & Whitney-who have quickly become good friends of mine! There is something sort of magical about those first few hours of life. It's almost like time stands still and nothing else matters but that sweet baby. Every coo, every squeal, every twitch, the sparkle in their sweet little eyes makes your heart sink.

The tired expressions of love and adoration in a new parents face also make me smile.

There is nothing sweeter.

Tylers tired face melts my heart.
